The gyroscope-inclinometer is designed to measure the azimuth and deviation of the well, as well as the orientation of the whipstock relative to the geographical meridian. The inclinometer is not affected by the external magnetic field and does not require initial positioning at the wellhead. Tool advantages: • not sensitive to magnetic noise; • no initial azimuth setting needed; • works in open and cased hole; • measurements in wells of any type (vertical, deviated). Trace of the well path can be completed in continuous and point mode. Measuring time at one point is 5 minutes. All data transfers to the computer in real-time. Another application of the gyroscope-inclinometer is the orientation of the whipstock during sidetracking.
